FORT LAUDERDALE, FLA. (WSVN) - The precautionary boil water notice in parts of Fort Lauderdale has been lifted, .

The City of Fort Lauderdale lifted the boil water notice Tuesday after bacteriological surveys showed the water is safe to drink after the water line repair.

On Sunday, city officials urged residents to boil water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth and washing dishes.

The affected area stretched from West McNab Road south to Northwest 62nd Street, as well as from Northwest 31st Avenue west to Cypress Creek Road.
