POMPANO BEACH, FLA. (WSVN) - Teams of Miami Dolphins legends and top South Florida chefs competed in a culinary showdown for charity, Saturday afternoon.
John Offerdahl’s Broward Health Gridiron Grill-Off Food & Wine Festival kicked off at the Pompano Beach Amphitheater.
Among those participating were 7Sports’ Steve Shapiro and Donovan Campbell.
Meanwhile, former Miami Dolphins player Channing Crowder broke down why the event was such a success. “But it’s the fun of it, too,” he said, “because John [Offerdahl], he just makes it so we’re out here to hang out, we’re out here for charity, we’re out here competing against chefs, competing against each other, and everybody’s benefiting. We’re having a good time.”
All net proceeds from the event benefit Offerdahl’s Hand-Off Foundation and its mission to feed the needs of children in crisis.
