HOLLYWOOD, FLA. (WSVN) - Police have a arrested a man in connection to robberies at two banks in Hollywood, Friday.

According to the FBI, the subject entered the SunTrust branch at 2001 Hollywood Blvd., shortly after 5:30 p.m. Investigators said he demanded money from an employee and fled with undisclosed sum of cash.

Shortly after leaving the bank, the suspect, later identified as 28-year-old Tarrife Chaplin, was arrested without incident by Hollywood Police.

Detectives believe Chaplin is also the same man caught on surveillance video entering and robbing the Wells Fargo on Young Circle, just after 9:30 a.m. Friday.

Customers were inside the bank at the time of both robberies, but no one was hurt.

Chaplin is in federal custody and is facing federal charges. He is expected to appear in court in Fort Lauderdale on Monday.

Hollywood Police, the South Florida Violent Crime Task Force and the FBI continue to investigate this case.
