NORTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, FLA. (WSVN) - Gunfire erupted after, police said, a man found his baby’s mother with another man, Tuesday morning.
According to Miami-Dade Police, a man found the mother of his child with another man. An argument ensued, resulting in the child’s mother’s companion shooting the father in the legs and abdominal area.
“I was in the gas station, and I heard the shots,” said one witness, Danny Lewis. “I looked around, and I saw the guy fall down, and he took off, and that is pretty much it. That is all I seen,” he said.
The victim was rushed by Ryder Trauma Center where he is undergoing surgery.
Police were seen taking one person into custody, but it is unclear whether the person is related to the shooting. No charges have been filed.
Officials shutdown Northwest 31st Avenue and Northwest 54th Street while they investigated.
