HOLLYWOOD, FLA. (WSVN) - Hollywood Police had to shut down the westbound lanes of Washington Street and the southbound lanes of State Route 7 due to a fatal collision, Wednesday evening.
The two-car collision resulted in one fatality, according to police.
A friend of the victim identified him simply as Anthony. That family friend said the victim is in his 70s but did not give his last name.

The road has since reopened and police continue to investigate.
