MIAMI BEACH, FLA. (WSVN) - A elderly female pedestrian was struck and injured Friday morning at Fifth Street and Meridian Avenue in Miami Beach, according to police.
Police have shut down the westbound lane, the driver remained on the scene.
This is the second incident this week that involved an elderly woman being struck by a vehicle. On Wednesday, a woman was hit and killed in the area of 41st Street and Sheridan Avenue.
The woman involved in today’s incident was rushed to Jackson Memorial Hospital where her condition remains unknown at this time.
