SOUTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, FLA. (WSVN) - An e-cigarette store was burglarized overnight, and police have released video they hope will lead to the burglar’s arrest.

The U Smoke Shop, located at 1307 S.W. 107th Ave., in Southwest Miami-Dade, had its window smashed, Tuesday morning, between 1 and 2 a.m. One man ran inside and grabbed several e-cigarettes before fleeing.

“We cannot tell what he looks like because he was wearing a ski mask,” said store manager Mark Odynak. “Looked like a male, about six feet tall.”

The surveillance video shows the subject with an object in his hands when he first entered, but the store manager said that didn’t stop him from grabbing about $3,000 worth of product. “Breaking into the store, running in, grabbing a bunch of stuff,” Odynak said. “It’s very upsetting that it happened to our business. I just don’t have any good feelings about it.”

The store’s alarm went off as soon as the burglar broke into the store, but that didn’t deter the intruder from his mission. Surveillance footage showed the subject checking to see if the coast was clear before going back to his dirty work.

The subject also appeared to be carrying a skateboard during the crime.

Odynak said the subject got away with about $3,000 worth of e-cigarettes and supplies. “It was vapors and tanks for them and also some e-liquids, plus batteries for the vapes,” he said.

The store owner is now left to clean up the broken glass that was left behind. He’s also offering a $5,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest. “We are really upset and want to prevent this from happening,” said Odynak. “We don’t want anyone else to suffer from this.”

Miami-Dade Police are investigating this case. If you have any information on this burglary, call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS. Remember, you can always remain anonymous, and you may be eligible for a $1,000 reward, along with a $5,000 reward from the owner.
