NORTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, FLA. (WSVN) - Several good Samaritans came to the rescue of two occupants of an SUV that crashed into a gas pump and burst into flames.

Cell phone video captured by Jasmine Roberson tells the story of what happened Sunday night.

The video shows the flames and explosions at the number one and two gas pump of the Valero gas station near Northwest 27th Avenue and 113th Street.

Onlookers could be heard shouting as the flames grew, before the good Samaritans saved a woman and an additional passenger from the vehicle.

The car apparently skipped the curb before crashing into the pump.

Roberson originally recorded the video from the road, but she eventually got a closer view. “I was really thankful it was people there willing to risk their lives and save this person from a burning car,” Roberson said over the phone. “It was just amazing to see people put their life on the line like that.”

The two passengers only suffered minor non-life-threatening injuries. One was transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital.

A cone now stands where the gas pump once did.

Customers at the gas station are shocked at the bravery of the good Samaritans. “There’s some good people out there,” said Zane Richards. “She got a second chance at life.”

It is unclear how the incident happened.
