MIAMI (WSVN) - Some South Florida police officers have taken off on a long bike ride — all for a good cause.
Miami Police officers took off on bikes from Coconut Grove, early Wednesday morning, to support the Live Like Bella Childhood Cancer Foundation.
The 180-mile bike ride benefits the foundation, which supports the fight against childhood cancer. The cops are joined by Bella’s father.
“We’re asking people if they can donate 25 cents or 25,000 dollars, whatever they can,” said City of Miami Police Lt. Freddie Cruz. “Let’s work together to find a cure for this disease.”
This the fourth year that Miami Police have participated in the bike ride.
The ride, which ends in Key West, will take a total of three days.
