MIAMI (WSVN) - Charges have been dropped against a teenager accused of robbing the mayor of Miami Shores.
Seventeen-year-old Jahkeen Walker appeared in court, Tuesday, where the charges were dropped
The second suspect, 17-year-old Fred Allen, will appear in court on Jan. 9. A judge is expected to allow Allen to be prosecuted as an adult.
Miami Shores Mayor Alice Burch was robbed on Nov. 8 after stopping to get coffee.
She was then ambushed by two armed men who grabbed her purse and fled. Burch chased down the suspects, eventually helping police catch and arrest them.
