NORTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, FLA. (WSVN) - The lockdown at Carrie Meek/Westview K-8 has been lifted, as police continue to investigate a nearby fatal shooting.

The lockdown as ordered as a precaution in reference to a fatal shooting outside of a Northwest Miami-Dade market, Friday, just after 12 p.m.

According to Miami-Dade Police, a yellow Camaro was seen fleeing from Northwest 125th Street and 17th Avenue.

The person driving this vehicle fled the scene and ended up at the parking lot of the 17th Avenue Market. It was at this market that the driver parked the car and bailed out on foot.

The victim, in the passenger seat, opened the door and fell to the ground. This victim was pronounced dead on the scene.
