NAVARRE, Fla. (AP) — A sick loggerhead sea turtle covered with barnacles and algae is recovering this week at the Gulfarium in Fort Walton Beach.

Santa Rosa County officials say turtle trawlers working with a beach restoration project captured the emaciated and lethargic turtle earlier this month.

The Pensacola News Journal (http://tinyurl.com/h7m7v5a ) reports Harriet the turtle is responding to treatment and is even eating on her own.

Trawlers are dragging nets within the dredging project area in search of turtles. Those captured are relocated further offshore to keep them safe.
