Candlelight memorial held in memory of slain Miami-Dade man

NORTHEAST MIAMI-DADE, Fla. (WSVN) — It was a somber night in Miami Gardens, Wednesday, after a man was shot and killed.

Family and friends held a candlelight memorial at Ives Estate Park to remember Bered Pierre, a 38-year-old man who was shot and killed on Monday.

According to police, he was an unintended victim.

Monday night, a man pulled a gun and started shooting at two other people in a parking lot near Northwest 167th Street and 41st Avenue.

Police believe the gunman then drove off in a red Ford Explorer.
