NORTH LAUDERDALE, FLA. (WSVN) - Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies opened fire on a second pit bull in as many days, Saturday.

According to investigators, they responded to a call about an aggressive dog in the area of Southwest 81st Terrace and Seventh Court, in North Lauderdale, when they came upon the pit bull. The animal died at the scene.

This is the second fatal dog shooting in just two days. Friday afternoon, deputies shot another pit bull while serving a search warrant at a Lauderhill home. Investigators said they were looking for drugs at the residence when the canine became aggressive.

That shooting is under investigation.
