FORT LAUDERDALE, FLA. (WSVN) - Crews are wrapping up their work on water lines in Fort Lauderdale, Friday morning, but a boil water advisory is in effect for some neighborhoods.

City officials are warning residents that, as of 5:30 a.m., there is a boil water order for residents living between West McNab and Cypress Creek roads, as well as Cove Lake Road and 31st Avenue.

The precautionary notice will remain in effect for a minimum of two days, officials said, and residents will be notified when it is lifted.

Officials are advising that all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth or washing dishes be boiled for at least one minute.
