FORT LAUDERDALE, FLA. (WSVN) - A precautionary boil water notice is in effect for parts of Fort Lauderdale.

On Sunday, city officials urged residents to boil water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth and washing dishes.

The affected area stretches from West McNab Road south to Northwest 62nd Street, as well as from Northwest 31st Avenue west to Cypress Creek Road.

Officials issued the notice after crews repaired a one-inch water service line along the 3100 block of Northwest 69th Street in Palm Aire Village West. Water service was temporarily interrupted to a portion of the neighborhood while repairs were made.
