MIAMI BEACH, FLA. (WSVN) - A boating accident sent one person to the hospital, Sunday afternoon.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded to the scene of the crash in an offshore area east of 85th Street and Collins Avenue, at around 12:30 p.m.
Authorities said a raceboat flipped over after hitting a wave, sending the boater flying into the water.
A fire boat transferred the victim to a Miami-Dade Air Rescue chopper that airlifted him to Jackson Memorial Hospital in unknown condition.
