COOPER CITY, FLA. (WSVN) - An ATM worker at a bank in Cooper City was taken to the hospital after, authorities said, he accidentally shot himself in the leg while using the bathroom.
According to the Broward Sheriff’s Office, the mishap took place at the Chase branch on the corner of Southwest 55th Avenue and Flamingo Road, Sunday, at around 2:30 p.m.
Officials say the worker was removing the gun from the holster when it went off, striking him in the leg.
He was transported to an area hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.
