MIAMI (WSVN) - American Airlines announced, Friday, that they expect to begin service from Miami to Cuba on Sept. 7.
Tickets for flights from Miami to five Cuban cities, including Camaguey, Cienfuegos, Holguin, Santa Clara and Varadero, are available on AA.com or by calling the reservations department at 800-433-7300 (English) or 800-633-3711 (Spanish).
The first flight, pending government approval, would depart Miami for Cienfuegos at 10 a.m., on Wednesday, Sept. 7. The first American Airlines flights to Camaguey and Santa Clara would be on Sept. 9, and the first to Varadero on Sept. 11.
The Department of Transportation awarded American Airlines the right to begin scheduled flights to Cuba last Friday, June 10.
