GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WSVN) — A Florida boy whose father is serving overseas got the sweetest treat for Halloween: a surprise visit from his dad.
Four-year-old Jayden Hayes was at a neighborhood party in Gainesville with his mother over the weekend. He was dressed up like his military dad, when his hero father, U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Jermaine Hayes, pulled off quite the surprise.
“It’s Daddy! Daddy!” said an overjoyed Jayden as he jumped up and down and ran into his father’s arms.
“Hey, buddy,” said Jermaine.
Jermaine had been deployed overseas for the past eight months.
