NORTH MIAMI, FLA. (WSVN) - A 7News viewer donated a keyboard Tuesday to a North Miami church that was burglarized over the weekend.

Holly Latch saw the 7News report about the burglary of Haitian Evangelical Baptist Church in North Miami. Thieves smashed the front glass doors of the church with a brick, Sunday, before making off with thousands of dollars in electronics.

“Like I said, when you see a need, you always want to fill it, and I was lucky. I had it in my son’s room, and they needed it, so I gave it,” Latch said.

Church leader Lude Georges was grateful for the donation.

“We are going to put it to use to praise God, and we are so fortunate,” Georges said.

The thief or thieves behind the crime are still on the loose.

If you have any information on this burglary, call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS. Remember, you can always remain anonymous, and you may be eligible for a $1,000 reward.
