MIAMI GARDENS, FLA. (WSVN) - 7News’ own Lorena Estrada took the day off from reporting the news to be a “Principal for the Day” at Norland Middle School.
Lorena stepped up to the plate as the leader of the school in Miami Gardens, Thursday morning.
As principal for the day, she had a chance to speak with dozens students and even recited the morning announcements — a job she can relate to.
The opportunity was thanks to Miami-Dade Public Schools’ program, Principal Today 2016.
The program provides the opportunity to build and strengthen the partnership between local schools and community leaders.
