The Coast Guard repatriated 38 Cuban migrants, Thursday, who had been intercepted in three separate cases in the South Florida Straits.

The migrants were transferred to a cutter, where they received food, water and medical attention on their way back to the island.

The Coast Guard estimated that 827 Cubans have attempted to migrate to the U.S. by sea since Oct. 1.
