3 charged with loitering in Coral Gables

CORAL GABLES, FLA. (WSVN) - Police are investigating after, they said, three young men on bicycles were arrested in Coral Gables on loitering and prowling charges.

According to Coral Gables Police, officers found 19-year old Javier Martinez and two juveniles riding bicycles and acting suspicious near Cortez Street and Venetia Avenue, early Saturday.

When confronted, Martinez told the officers they were “car jumping” in the area. Police then found unidentified property on all three suspects.

Martinez was taken to Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center and the other two males were transported to the Juvenile Assessment Center.

Investigators are attempting to determine whether the three subjects are linked to additional crimes in Coral Gables.
