DELTONA, Fla. (WSVN) — A 22-year-old woman was recording a video on Snapchat when she accidentally shot herself, deputies confirm to WESH.
According to the report, the woman told Volusia County investigators that she was holding a gun while trying to create videos with her cellphone when she pulled the trigger, causing a bullet to go straight through her cellphone and into her right hand.
The bullet lacerated her right thumb, index finger and shattered her phone, according to officials.
The accident occurred inside a home on Lake Baton Drive in Deltona on Sunday night.
The unidentified woman was treated at an area hospital.
