LAUDERHILL, FLA. (WSVN) - Lauderhill police are searching for two subjects who lured their victim to a hold up via Craigslist.

According to Lauderhill police, the armed robbery took place in the parking lot of a Bank of America, near Northwest 44th Street and Inverrary Boulevard, just after 11 a.m., Wednesday.

Police said the victim came to the bank under the pretense of purchasing a car from someone he met on Craigslist. When the so-called seller arrived, he robbed the victim of a large sum of cash he had brought to the scene.

A second suspect driving a getaway car helped the armed robber escape.

Note: an earlier version of this story said the bank was robbed. This never happened.
