SOUTH MIAMI-DADE, FLA. (WSVN) - A group of Cuban migrants reached South Florida shores safely, Monday night.

The 10 men and six women came ashore on Boca Chita Key in South Miami-Dade. One of them arrived with a leg injury and was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital for treatment.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents took the rest of the migrants to the Dania Beach Border Patrol Station. They will then be turned over to Church World Services in Doral.

Officials believe the group was smuggled here.
