A comfortable living room is a necessity for any family but coordinating fashion and comfort can be a little tricky. Makeover maestro Martin Amado shows us how to add a little bling to any living area.
WSVN — Martin Amado: “Alright, so can you guess what space we’re working in today? A living room. We have two good things going for it right now, a beautiful sofa and a coffee table. Everything else has gotta change. Let’s make it happen.”
Martin Amado: “First up, this gold frame as the focal point above this contemporary sofa just doesn’t work. So, that’s gotta go.”
Martin Amado: “Second, although I like the size of the area rug, it’s actually made for outdoors so it’s not quite elegant enough for this space.”
Martin Amado: “Ahhh! Much better! I love it. Quite a difference right?”
Martin Amado: “A large wall, requires large scale artwork and this fits the bill.”
Martin Amado: “I love incorporating round end tables to break up some of the straight lines in the space.”
Martin Amado: “Now, with the coffee table and the end tables, we’re creating more of a collected look as opposed to buying a matching set.”
Martin Amado: “Love incorporating two accent chairs instead of a traditional love seat and another big, bulky chair. It helps to create a nice separation of spaces plus they look great in the room.”
Martin Amado: “So we still have our original, modern pieces, but by adding some rustic elements in metal and wood, we now have a living room that reflects elegance and style. Until next time, I’m Martin Amado for 7News.”))
