WSVN — Unless you live or work there you may not know what downtown Coral Gables really has to offer. Well, here's your chance.
A monthly street party there called 'Giralda Under The Stars.'
Mari Molina: "This happens the first Friday of every month from now until May. So mark your calendars now."
In the Gables, Giralda street is dubbed restaurant row with more than ten restaurants lining the street.
Erika Greene: "I think most people don't realize everything that Coral Gables has to offer. There are many different restaurants, many different bars."
On the first Friday night of each month, Giralda street between Ponce de Leon and Galiano Street is shut down to traffic. All the restaurants drag their tables into the street and you can dine al fresco.
Nubia Madrid: "To be outside in the middle of the street, cause usually the street is pretty congested. So it's nice to be sitting out here."
There's a restaurant for every culture and taste.
Lilliam Gandara-La Dorada: "We are a Spanish restaurant and we bring our seafood directly from the Mediterranean Sea."
At La Dorada, they fly in their seafood fresh every day and you can get specialties like this rare fish baked inside sea salt.
If that doesn't tempt your palate, there's Italian, Cuban, Chinese, Thai and Mexican.
Eduardo Durazo-Talavera: "They are going to feel they are in Mexico City somewhere downtown."
Each of the restaurants play to their culture offering live entertainment from a Spanish guitarist to an Italian singer. It'll definitely have you dancing in the streets.
Osvaldo Sarraff: "Coral Gables is a great community where we all get together and have a merry time, we have wine, and all the good stuff."
It's one street party you won't want to miss.
