NORTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, Fla. (WSVN) — A South Florida father charged with child neglect after leaving his 4-year-old daughter home alone with weapons and a grenade has bonded out of jail.

Twenty-five-year-old Luis Bianchi walked out of jail Thursday afternoon after he posted $5,000 bond earlier in the day. He walked past waiting media and even pulled a reporter’s microphone as he offered no comment on his arrest. He faces charges of child neglect.

The child will stay in the custody of the state for at least 24 more hours. The Department of Children and Families will perform a home study of the mother’s home and report back to the court before being released the child to the mother.

Bianchi did not appear at his daughter’s custody hearing after his release. The mother and grandfather were at that hearing, however. The child had turned 4 on this same day.

The judge was not comfortable with leaving the daughter with either parent and will also have a home study done for the grandfather’s home.

The next court date is scheduled for Friday afternoon.
