WSVN — Here's the usual plot: When it comes to movies you either rent one at home or catch a blockbuster at the theater.

Well, this summer, the plot thickens. B.E.D. Lounge in South Beach is offering a "dine-in theater" movie series.

Valerie Rasken: "Having so much fun, it's like we're at the movies, but we're laying on beds. It's a great idea!"

Every Thursday night, starting at 9 p.m., you can curl up on one of their over-sized beds and watch a movie projected on screens all over the club.

Freddy Vega, Executive Chef, B.E.D.: "You can go romantic with your spouse, or you can bring a group of friends and just have a great place to eat popcorn and candy, watch a great movie and literally take your shoes off and relax."

Each month features a different genre of movies. May was mafia and gangster movies, June kicks off with romantic comedies. Summer favorites hit the screen for July and shark thrillers in August.

For $30, you get the movie, your own bed and a gourmet meal featuring an appetizer and entree.

Executive chef Freddy Vega is tailoring each month's menu to match the movie themes.

Freddy Vega: "This month, we're featuring Italian mobsters. So, I'd customize the menu just for Italian food. I have a classic veal Milanese, that's lightly breaded, pan-seared fresh crushed arugula. I do a gnocchi with Gorgonzola."

Steven Restrepo: "It's a nice spin on dinner and a movie. It's better than being home. You're out, but you're still having some nice food and watching a great movie."

There's also complimentary truffle-butter popcorn and lots of movie candy to munch on!

Joseph Quinones: "Right now, we're having candy and truffled popcorn, so you can't ask for anything better, really."

No cliffhangers here, dinner in bed with a gourmet meal is a great way to see a movie.

Again, the dine-in movie night is every Thursday at 9 p.m. You will need to call and reserve a bed.
