Co-Anchor Today in Florida
Alexis Rivera joined 7 NEWS in April 2011 as a general assignment reporter. She hit the ground running, filling in as a morning anchor less than two months after joining the station.
Alexis served as a reporter and fill-in anchor at WPBF 25 NEWS in West Palm Beach for two years. Prior to that, she was a weekend anchor/reporter at NEWS 12 in New York City. Her television career launched with stints at ABC’s 20/20, Primetime and MTV En Espanol.
A native of Miami Beach from Cuban descent, Alexis received her undergraduate degree in communications from the University of Pennsylvania. She received her master’s degree in broadcast journalism from the University of Miami.
She is a self-proclaimed foodie and loves to travel.
