(WSVN) - Tom Hanks, Eddie Murphy, Clint Eastwood?!?!

Gen X-ers are gonna love this next story, because three big 80s stars are back and hitting up the red carpets.

And their movies are based on true stories.

Tom Hanks doing what he does best: being his charming self!

He walked the red carpet at the New York City premiere of “Sully.”

Tom plays Captain Chesley Sullenberger, who landed a plane in the Hudson River when the engines failed.

They were directed by Clint Eastwood, who says making a movie is a lot like landing a plane… it’ll go smoothly if everyone does their job!

Clint Eastwood: “A story of just people doing their jobs. Everybody from the attendants in the cabin to the passengers, to the pilots, everybody doing the right thing in a very short amount of time.”

Tom Hanks (as Chesley Sullenberger): “This is the captain. Brace for impact.”

As for Tom, he learned about life in the high-pressure cockpit.

Tom Hanks: “You’re not allowed to talk after the plane pulls away from the gate. Did you know that?”

Check out Eddie Murphy and the Governator!

They hit the red carpet for the L.A. premiere of Ed’s new movie “Mister Church.”

Eddie Murphy (as Henry Church): “Hello Charlie, my name is Mister Church.”

He plays a cook whose six month job turns into a lifetime commitment.

Eddie was joined on the red carpet by co-stars including Britt Robertson, who looked stunning in her blue gown, as well as Christian Madsen.

Some say it’s a lesson in love, but Ed says: Don’t read that much into it!

Eddie Murphy: “I don’t think it’s out to teach anybody anything. It’s a true story and it’s just a really sweet, heartfelt movie.”

Eddie Murphy (as Henry Church): “You gave me a family.”
