Talking animals, a haunted house, and one crazy surrogate hit theaters Friday, but it’s a hero pilot that lands the first spot in this week’s Showtime.

Tom Hanks (as Chelsey ‘Sully’ Sullenberger: “This is the captain. Brace for impact.”

“Sully” is the true story of the pilot who landed his plane in the Hudson River in New York City after the engines failed.

Tom Hanks stars in the lead role and says getting to work with Captain Sullenberger helped bring authenticity to his performance.

Tom Hanks: “He would never say that he’s a hero, but that was one heroic thing he did.”

Robinson Crusoe gets to party with the animals in “The Wild Life.”

He’s avoiding pirates, and his animal neighbors are fighting off conniving cats.

Spoiler alert: I don’t think it’s based on a true story.

If you discover an ancient key to a secret room in an old house — you probably shouldn’t unlock it.

But don’t tell that to Kate Beckinsale.

In “The Disappointments Room” the past comes back to haunt her — but it’s not only her past that’s doing the haunting!

Interviewer: “Are you sure you still wanna be a surrogate?”

Jaz Sinclair (as Anna Walsh): “Yes, I am.”

Regina Hall (as Laura Taylor): “Look at her eyes, she means it.”

The eyes have it!

In “When The Bough Breaks,” Morris Chestnut and Regina Hall play a couple down to their last embryo — and think they’ve found the perfect surrogate.

Turns out she has other ideas — and might make you think twice about renting a womb.

Morris Chestnut: “You don’t really think straight, ’cause emotionally, you have that desire that you sometimes are willing to compromise certain things to obtain.”
