If you’re excited just to see “Fantastic Beasts,” imagine how excited the stars are to be in the movie, and they told Deco it’s a real thrill being part of J.K. Rowling’s creation.

Katherine Waterston (as Porpentina Goldstein): “An unregistered wizard set magical beasts loose in New York.”

Carmen Ejogo (as Seraphina Picquery): “Yes. Where is this man?”

“Fantastic Beasts and where to find them” flew into theaters Friday. In this “Harry Potter” prequel, a wizard who’s been kicked out of Hogwarts, ends up in the States, where he may have exposed 1926 New York City to the magical world.

Dan Fogler (as Jacob Kowalski): “Hey Mr. English guy. Your egg is hatching.”

Now that the stars of the movie are part of J.K. Rowling’s world, they have a fantastic fan base.

And it turns out, they’re fans, too.

Eddie Redmayne: “If you are fan of something, and then you get to dip into this world, which is fresh and new and yet had that same warmth and so many connections to the Potter world, it was kind of a dream come true actually.”

J.K.’s world cast a spell on “Beasts” stars Eddie Redmayne and Katherine Waterston.

Katherine Waterston: “So it did feel like kind of stepping into J.K. Rowling’s mind. It’s almost like a museum for a Harry Potter fan.”

Colin Farrell plays the Head of Magical Security in the U.S. For him, Rowling is the real magic here.

Colin Farrell: “It was a blast to be part of something that had a certain amount of energy and lore around it and to work with David Yates, who had directed the last four Potter films was extraordinary, because he’s a wealth of knowledge, and he’s just real passionate for this world and for the charters that J.K. creates.”

Dan Fogler and Alison Sudol share a budding romance in the flick, and for them, being in “Fantastic Beasts” was like every holiday wish come true.

Dan Fogler: “It’s a lot like finding Santa’s village in the North Pole and hanging out there, watching them make toys, hanging out with the elves.”

Alison Sudol: “Basically, just totally surreal and wonderful.”

If the stars on screen are feeling the magic, there’s a good chance you will, too.

“Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” is currently out in theaters.
