In case you didn’t notice, fall has come to South Florida. It’s the season of the pumpkin, the gourd to be adored. There are tons of ways to be pleased by pumpkins and Deco’s found a few of them.

Seeing, smelling and tasting pumpkins everywhere means — it’s finally fall.

Dr. April Patterson: “We are so excited about the fall, I love the fall.”

And who doesn’t?

Especially when it involves decadent treatments for your skin.

At Dr. Patty’s Dental Boutique in Fort Lauderdale…

Dr. April Patterson: “We are featuring three pumpkin based facials.”

There’s a gentle Pumpkin Cranberry Refreshing Facial for $75.

Or go with the really delicious sounding Pumpkin Spice Mocha Facial for a $110.

Dr. April Patterson: “The Pumpkin Spice Mocha Facial is featuring an ultra pumpkin peel and scrub, finished off with a Chocolate Cacao Mocha Mask for deep moisture.

As for your back — think pumpkin pie.

Dr. April Patterson: “The Pumpkin Pie Relaxing Facial. Here in South Florida, we expose more than just our face to the sun, so we also have a facial for the back in order to moisturize and hydrate the back and also tone and brighten it.”

When you’re done, have a pumpkin muffin and latte on the house.

The folks at The Quarterdeck in the 954 have found tasty ways to use our circular, orange friend…

James Flanigan: “Celebrating the fall season and the fall weather with a pumpkin-flavored beer special and two pumpkin-flavored seafood specials.”

You wouldn’t think seafood and pumpkins match up well…

Ahh, but there’s much to learn.

James Flanigan: “Our featured fall dishes are a pumpkin beer-battered mahi fingers and pumpkin beer-battered shrimp.”

The Blue Moon Pumpkin Ale isn’t just for the seafood … you get to drink some, too.

James Flanigan: “This seasonal ale is crafted with pumpkin cinnamon nutmeg cloves and allspice.”

Customer: “I love pumpkin spice. The shrimp and the mahi fingers are awesome.”

Fall for something really yummy at The Beachwalk Bistro in Hallandale Beach.

Sunday through Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m., grab a bite of the great pumpkin!

Jaime Magana: “On these dishes, I chose Mexican calabaza, which is a variety of pumpkin. It’s a little sweeter than the standard Halloween pumpkin, and it’s very yummy.”

There’s porkbelly sliders with with pumpkin slaw…

Two unforgettable skewers…

Jaime Magana: “One of them is chorizo and pumpkin, the other one is pumpkin wrapped with prosciutto. We also have a yellowtail ceviche shot. It’s local caught, and I incorporated pumpkin pieces and pumpkin pepitas, which is the seed.”

Cheers to fall with a screwed pumpkin.

Jaime Magana: “It’s a screwdriver and I incorporated some pumpkin spice syrup and some fresh pumpkin as well. A little hint of cinnamon. It’s very yummy.”
