(WSVN) — James Charles, a 17-year-old New York-based makeup artist who has over 400,000 Instagram followers is no average teen — besides an already promising career in make up artistry, he’s now the first-ever male CoverGirl.
News of this gender-norm crushing move by CoverGirl was announced, Tuesday, by pop superstar and CoverGirl Katy Perry, who broke the news in an Instagram post.
Charles will appear in campaigns for CoverGirl’s newest mascara, “So Lashy.”
According to CoverGirl, their newest mascara is designed to work on all lash types.
