There’s friends of Deco, and then there’s family, and Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union are definitely Deco family. They make us proud, and we want to be there for all of their celebrations and victories. This time, the couple was in South Beach celebrat ing Gaby’s Ocean Drive magazine cover. And Deco? We were right there with them.
Team Wade-Union sure know how to throw a party.
Gabrielle Union: “We are here at the Nautilus Hotel to celebrate my Ocean Drive cover. I’m very excited.”
Actress Gabrielle Union and hubby Dwyane Wade from our Miami Heat were glowing on the red carpet, Friday night.
Gabrielle Union: “If I could go back and tell my 16-year-old self that, ‘You’re gonna be OK, kid, and you actually may inspire other women and, you know, stay the course.’ Yeah, it’s kinda unbelievable.”
Though — this isn’t the family’s first Ocean Drive rodeo.
Dwyane Wade: “This is her second cover, and in our household, we got four covers of Ocean Drive, so the support from the magazine has just been great for both of us.”
This time around, Gaby graces the cover of May/June’s “Women of Influence” issue.
Dwyane Wade: “It gives us both an opportunity, especially her, to talk about what she’s doing, things she’s passionate in, and we get to see her beautiful face on the cover, so it’s all good.”
As for how the actress is influential? She told Deco it’s as simple as telling the truth.
Gabrielle Union: “I try to just lead by example with being honest and open and trying to use my voice for more important things than who’s the best kisser that I’ve ever worked with. There is a correct answer, by the way, but I’m not gonna tell you with my husband standing feet away.”
Maybe next time, Gabrielle can whisper it in our ear. We’ll keep the secret.
