MIAMI GARDENS, FLA. (WSVN) - It was the Miami Dolphins Cheerleaders’ turn to shine, Friday night, as the squad unveiled their 2017 calendar — and a new cover girl.

All 36 cheerleaders strutted their stuff, beginning at around 8:30 p.m., at their annual fashion show at Hard Rock Stadium.

Among them was Miami native Jessica, last year’s calendar cover girl, as well as Miss December. She modeled a skimpy multi-colored bikini.

When asked what it feels like to walk down a runway, Jessica said, “I forget about everything. I just have so much fun. I play with the crowd. It’s an awesome feeling.”

The big moment of the night came when Monica, Miss January, was announced as the 2017 cover girl. This the third time she graces the cover of the calendar.

The team has an international flair this year, with auditions held in different countries.

“Miami is the melting pot, and there’s so many cultures here, we thought, ‘You know? Let’s make it even more authentic,'” said Dorie Grogan, senior director of Dolphins Brand Impact and Entertainment. “‘Let’s travel to some other countries and find beautiful, talented women.'”

The resulting team is comprised of the girls from eight countries, speaking a combined five languages and representing 28 cities.

This year’s calendar shoot took place on the beautiful island of Barbados, and the calendar will officially be available after Friday night’s show for $15. It will be sold online and at the team’s shop. For more information, click here.
