Don’t judge a man by the women’s clothes he wears. Not Tyler Perry or Deco’s Chris Van Vliet. We love Chris — even when he’s wearing pants. (Of course we might love him more without the pants.)

If you’ve ever wondered, and I’m sure you have, what Madea would do on Halloween, wonder no more! We caught up with Tyler Perry in Miami today and got the scoop on his new Madea movie.

Tyler Perry (as Madea): “Let something just up out of this box. You got knocked the hell out.”

Madea is back — in “Boo! A Madea Halloween.”

Diamond White (as Tiffany): “Strange things start happening. (Knock knock knock)

All: “What the hell!”

Tyler Perry in Miami today, spending some time with Deco and talking about his ninth movie as Madea.

Chris Van Vliet: “Do you feel like the bar just keeps getting constantly higher and higher every single time?”

Tyler Perry: “No, I think it gets lower and lower. Honestly I think it gets lower and lower, but I am determined to not be her age and still playing her. I am determined to not let that happen.”

The movie is set in a haunted house on Halloween night as Madea fights off killers, ghosts and zombies in a way that only Madea can!

Tyler Perry (as Madea): “All my life I had to fight.”

Now even though our interview was with Tyler … Madea just had to pop in!

Chris Van Vliet: “I don’t think people realize how big you are.”

Tyler Perry: “I’m a big guy.”

Chris Van Vliet: “So that means Madea is a very big woman.”

Tyler Perry: “Yes, but she’s sensitive.”

Chris Van Vliet: “And I didn’t mean that Madea. I’m sorry.”

Tyler Perry: “Watch what you’re saying Van Bleep. Watch what you’re saying Van Bleep.”

Tyler created Madea for a play in 1999 and she was an instant hit. Tyler says it’s because everyone can relate to the character.

Tyler Perry: “Everybody has one of these Madea’s in their lives. Either you had one or you knew one or somebody in the family had one. Not politically correct, says what’s on her mind, out of the box, over the top, obnoxious, kind of sounds like our presidential candidate.”

Chris Van Vliet: “Oh wow.”

Tyler Perry: “Oooh, dig, dig.”

Chris Van Vliet: “Oh we’re going there.”

Tyler Perry: “Did we just go there?” (Laughs)

Chris Van Vliet: “So Tyler Perry for president?”

Tyler Perry: “Madea for president.”

Tyler Perry (as Madea): “Why you running? Why you running? I don’t play that Halloween bull.”

And that last comment there. It gives me an idea. Now I’m not exactly a big time movie executive or anything, but I have an idea that I think is going to make us all a lot of money.

Here it is! Madea 2020.

“Boo! A Madea Halloween” is in theaters on Oct. 21.
