If you can’t escape South Florida this holiday season to bundle up in the cold, don’t worry. The Conrad Hotel is bringing the chill factor with their daily Jack Frost Happy Hour, and it’ll have you saying “brrr.”
Welcome to the “Jack Frost Happy Hour” at the Conrad Hotel, better known as Miami’s winter wonderland.
Chintan Dadhich, general manager, Conrad Miami: “We thought, ‘You’re in Miami. Happy hour should be every day.'”
Cheers to that! The Conrad dares you to get frosty every night, all month long, from 6:30 to 9 p.m.
And, to kick things off, they had some help from South Florida’s tell-all, Ocean Drive Magazine.
Jared Shapiro: “Bringing something like a holiday experience to the Conrad, with snow, with s’mores, with little trains, with fake snow, with fog and cold temperatures. It’s really awesome. It’s a great experience.”
The hotel brings out all the stops. From an oyster dish served in a snow globe…
Chintan Dadhich: “As you open that snow globe, there is absolutely beautiful, fantastically crafted food in smoke.”
To delicious beverages that’ll make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
Chintan Dadhich: “We have craft cocktails such as Pumpkin Spice Martini and Belvedere Red Royal. These are the drinks that get you into the holiday spirit.”
And yes, they make the snow fall — every 30 minutes.
Guest: “Where else in Miami can you get 80 degrees with 100 percent chance of snow?”
Not feeling bold enough for the whiteout? Don’t worry. Stay warm on the seats inside one of the igloos.
Chintan Dadhich: “We have absolutely wonderful umbrellas and pashmina shawls.”
It’s the perfect way to get festive with loved ones and experience winter without having to brave those Northeastern blizzards.
Jared Shapiro: “I think a lot of people going to happy hour are looking for a good time, and they want something different. You can go to any bar, but it’s not going to suddenly start snowing.”
