This is a sneak peek of Cirkopolis — a gravity-defying show opening Thursday at the Adrienne Arsht Center. And Deco chatted up the Montreal-based circus troupe performers.
Joel David Baker, circus performer: “It’s an amazing show. It’s a combination of dance, theater, circus.”
Marilou Verschelden, trapeze performer: “We have a lot of sentimental numbers, and we have a lot of intense numbers, a show that has a lot of emotion.”
Cirkopolis takes audience members on a fantastical, poetic journey that defies reality. You can catch it at the Ziff Ballet Opera House at the Arsht Center through the end of the month.
