(WSVN) - Ben Affleck searches for the truth, protects a damsel in distress, and kicks some serious butt… And we’re not taking about his rendition of Batman. Ben has a new thriller out and he told Deco all about it.

Robert C. Treveiler (as Young Chris’s Father): “You’re different. Sooner or later, different scares people.”

An autistic boy grows up to be a math genius in “The Accountant.”

But don’t expect him to be available to do your taxes.

J.K. Simmons (as Director Raymond King): “This guy risks his life uncooking the books for some of the scariest people on the planet: drug cartels, money launderers, assassins…”

Ben Affleck stars as Christian Wolff, a savant who discovers a dangerous truth about one of his clients.

Ben Affleck: “This part was really unique and it was a really cool, interesting 3-dimensional character that I haven’t seen in a movie before, so that was really exciting.”

Exciting — and a little scary.

Ben Affleck: “You’ve gotta be entertaining and it’s gotta be live and real, but it also owes something to the autistic community and has to be faithful and honest to those folks, particularly the ones that helped us in creating the character. That’s daunting, that’s scary. It’s a big responsibility and a big part and I wanted to do it well.”

In the thriller, Ben’s character fights bad guys and protects a young accounting clerk played by Anna Kendrick.

Ben Affleck: “She’s just so sharp and quick and funny and alert, and makes you wanna be on your toes, and I was so happy and thrilled to be working with her.”

Besides Anna, the stellar cast includes Academy Award winner J.K. Simmons and Cynthia Addai-Robinson.

J.K. Simmons: “Ray King is kinda the king of his domain. When we first meet him, he’s gonna be recruiting Marybeth Medina, a very talented, smart, young agent to be a part of a very specific and somewhat secretive case.”

Cynthia Addai-Robinson: “She’s an analyst at the Treasury Department, specifically in the Financial Crimes division. So that division is responsible for tracking the money flow for criminals among other people.”

The two start hunting the accountant down to find out what he knows about his infamous clients.

J.K. Simmons (as Raymond King): “Do you like puzzles? Tell me what you see.”

If solving puzzles is your idea of a good time, this film may just be for you.

Ben Affleck: “The script itself was realistic, but it was full of surprises and twists and turns, and it was this complicated puzzle that you had to try to figure out and all that stuff was really exciting.”

Cynthia Addai-Robsinon (as Marybeth Medina): “So who is he?”

J.K. Simmons (as Raymond King): “The accountant.

Cynthia Addai-Robinson (as Marybeth Medina): “Like a CPA accountant?”

J.K. Simmons (as Raymond King): “Not quite.”
