MIRAMAR, FLA. (WSVN) - Police are investigating a hit and run after a car or a truck crashed into a Miramar barber shop and fled the scene.

Daniel Anderson, the owner of SND Signature Cuts and Salon, said he was woken up by police at around 1:45 a.m., Tuesday.

The barber shop, located along the 9000 block of Miramar Parkway was smashed into overnight. At first it was thought this might have been an attempted burglary.

“I don’t know what to think, because that’s the thing, everybody gets along,” said Anderson. “We don’t have no problem with nobody, so we want to know what’s really going on. If it was robbery, they probably would have taken the TVs, they probably would have took clippers, but none of that was gone.”

Anderson said he thinks someone may have lost control of their vehicle and crashed into the store-front.

“It looked like somebody lost control. That’s what it looked like,” he said.

The entrance to the store along with some stations near the front were destroyed, but Anderson said, the salon side remained untouched, and customers are still welcome. “They didn’t close us down. We’re still open.”

7News was on scene as Anderson and his employees worked to clean up the debris and attempted to board-up the entrance so they can open up during regular business hours.

Police are currently reviewing surveillance video from surrounding businesses to confirm what happened.
