MIAMI (WSVN) - A propane gas leak, Wednesday, sickened several staff members at Miami Springs Middle School.
According to Miami-Dade Schools, no students were inside the cafeteria at the time, but a smell of gas had been reported in the cafeteria, at around 11:42 a.m.
School officials said 14 people had to be transported to the hospital to be checked out.
7Skyforce HD flew over the scene where at least two people were taken away in stretchers.
Fire crews later determined that leak was coming from the propane system.
Crews turned it off.
